Friday 21st of May of 2010 will be always remembered as the day the Guaje was presented as the new red & blue player

On Thursday he landed in the Condal City and he made his first visit to Barcelona FC’s facilities.

On Friday, David Villa, has had an intense day. First thing in the morning he began the medical tests, just before signing his contract with FC Barcelona.

After successfully completing the tests, the Guaje was driven to the Camp Nou. There all the FC Barcelona executives were waiting for him, with their president Joan Laporta, to sign the contract that will make him a player of FC Barcelona for the next 4 years and one optional extra year.

As soon as the contract was signed the official press conference began, with David Villa as a new FC Barcelona player. The show took place in the Paris Room of the Camp Nou facilities. The expectation was maximum and it congregated a great number of journalists. And of course, David Villa was not alone, he was with his family, his wife and his parents, to live such a special moment.

“I’m going to dedicate my life to Barça” he stated with his first words as a FC Barcelona player. Also, he insists that for him “it’s an honor, a pride and a great step forward in my career”

With the humbleness that has always characterized him in every team, he said that “with my little collaboration I will try to help Barça to win everything”
